Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta assessed the talents of three Nigeria-eligible prospects during Wednesday's training session at the Sobha Realty Training Centre, according to AllNigeriaSoccer.
With several first-team players absent due to international duty, Arteta invited academy players to join the session.
The Players include:
1. Brian Okonkwo (18): Goalkeeper with four U21 appearances in Premier League 2 and EFL Trophy.
2. Andre Annous (16): Forward with five goals in five U18 Premier League appearances.
3. Samuel Onyekachukwu (16): Centre-back with six U18 Premier League appearances.
While the trio gained valuable experience, they're unlikely to feature against Nottingham Forest due to Arsenal's pressing need to close the nine-point gap with league leaders Liverpool.
Arteta's move highlights Arsenal's commitment to developing young talent. However, the immediate focus remains on reversing the team's recent slump.
