Galatasaray insider Oğuz Altay has shed light on the dynamics of Victor Osimhen's partnerships with Michy Batshuayi and Mauro Icardi. According to Altay, the Nigerian striker's performances with either of the two players are "as different as night and day."
Osimhen's impact at Galatasaray has been nothing short of phenomenal. Since joining the Turkish giants on loan from Napoli in September, the 24-year-old has scored nine goals and provided five assists in just twelve matches across all competitions. His impressive displays have caught the attention of top European clubs, sparking speculation about his potential exit.
Altay, a commentator for KRT TV, highlighted the differences in Osimhen's game when paired with Icardi versus Batshuayi. "Osimhen and Icardi playing as a centre forward and Osimhen and Batshuayi playing as a centre forward are as different as night and day," Altay said, according to Turkish outlet habersarikirmizi.
Osimhen's recent performances have been impressive, including his goal in Galatasaray's 1-1 draw with AZ Alkmaar in the UEFA Europa League last week. The Nigerian international's contract with Galatasaray includes a break clause, allowing him to leave the club in January.
As Galatasaray continues to navigate the challenges of the Turkish Süper Lig and the UEFA Europa League, Osimhen's partnerships with Icardi and Batshuayi will be crucial in determining the team's success.
